Aiming at sensitizing the state government officials, the Centre had conducted 10 training programmes during the financial year 2016-17. During the period, in collaboration with the Centre for Innovation & Future Studies, AASC and UNDP, the Centre had also conducted one Innovation Lab on CMSGUY. Later in the month of December, 2016, in collaboration with NITI Aayog, Transformation & Development Department, United Nations, RIS and Vijnana Bharati the Centre had organized one 2-day Regional Consultation on SDGs for Human Settlements in Himalayan Region.
With the onset of financial year 2017-18, looking at the progress made on SDGs in the state, the Centre, in consultation with Government of Assam, has shifted focus of its regular courses/programmes from capacity building to finalization of Strategy & Action Plan of the government departments and bringing the SDGs to the grass-root levels.
Accordingly, the action plan for the year 2017-18 and the list of programmes is as below (dates are subjected to change):

Apart from organizing training programmes, workshops and conclaves, the Centre has also been involved in facilitating the key stakeholders in the state’s SDG initiative with guidance & technical support towards designing & implementing comprehensive policy & strategy and also in designing and putting in place an effective monitoring & evaluation system for timely recording of progress made in the state of Assam towards achieving the SDGs. In this regard, the Centre has been actively involved in the following activities:
Partnership will play a crucial role in inclusive achievement of the SDGs within the stipulated time frame. Following this principle, the Centre has formed partnerships with UNDP, UNICEF & their associate agencies, OKD Institute of Social Change & Development, Coalition for Food & Nutrition Security and TERI North-East for taking forward collaborative activities towards planning and monitoring of SDGs in the state. The Centre is also working on forging partnership with other academic institutes, industries and civil societies of repute for successful implementation of the SDG plans & programmes of the State.
