Activities

  • Conduct foundation courses for State Civil Service Officers and other departmental officials for Assam and the other North-Eastern States.

  • Conduct orientation and refresher courses  in Management, Development Administration, Rural Development, Decentralized Planning Process, Project Formulation, Public Distribution System, Computer applications etc.

  • Conduct need based training courses annually for Indian Administrative Service, Indian Forest Service, Indian Police Service and other allied services of the Government of India.

  • Conduct courses sponsored by Government of India on Training of Trainers, Management of Training, Intensive Training Programme , Human Rights, Gender Issues, Computer Application etc.

  • Conduct Induction Training programme in Secretariat Training School for Junior and Senior Assistants.

  • Conduct training programmes on financial management and office procedure, IT, distance learning methodology, disaster management, urban management, RTI, ARTPS, ethics and values in administration, e-governance etc.

  • Conduct workshops, seminars, conclaves etc through six centres of excellence of the institute.

  • Impart Pre-Examination Coaching for candidates from Assam appearing in all India competitive examinations through Pre-Examination Training Centre.

  • Organise training for officers in reputed institutes in India and abroad.

  • Adhere to the concept of Systematic Approach to Training.

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis.

  • Design training programmes.

  • Continuously update the methodology of training to make it cost effective.

  • Internally validate the training course to improve training.

  • Prepare and update training materials.
